A New Season For The Shepherdsmen Quartet
It truly is a new season for The Shepherdsmen Quartet of Southern Illinois. In existence since 2002, The Shepherdsmen Quartet has weathered the storms that come from conflicting beliefs, personalities, and lifestyles.
Founding member/manager/baritone singer Dan Wilson of Woodlawn, IL says, “ It’s not been easy to find and keep singers who not only can sing, but who also live out, with consistency, the message we sing about.”
This fresh new start is the result of faith and patience on the part of Wilson and other founding member/lead singer, Bruce Campbell, of West Frankfort, IL. “ I’m just thrilled that we didn’t give up when it seemed like the easy thing to do.”
The new CD, “Gettin The Word Out” reflects this newfound spirit. It also contains 2 songs, “Thank You Jesus” and “Paul & Silas” written by Dan Wilson. “Musically we are better than we’ve ever been and spiritually we’re on fire.”
The CD was produced by veteran southern gospel producer Woody Beatty in Nashville, TN.
Our new members include Floyd Cairns singing bass and Cort Jones singing tenor. Both of these men share a love of and long history with southern gospel music. We are blessed to have them as members of The Shepherdsmen Quartet.
