An Open Letter From Clinton Everetts

Dear friends,

As I write this, I cannot help but think of how gracious the Lord hbeen.  Every day we are given blessings beyond measure.  Just to wake up and have breath and life in our bodies each morning is a blessing from God.  Life is one of the most precious gifts the Lord gives us.

About 3 months ago my wife, Tressa, and I found out we had new life beginning in our family.  In March of 2017 we will be welcoming our first child into our family.  We are so humbled, blessed, and excited to be having our first child.  When we found out, we immediately began to pray and seek the Lord to provide strength for Tressa, health and growth for our child, and strength to become Christ-like parents.  As I would pray each day, the Lord continued working on my heart and my need to be 100% involved in our child's life.  Proverbs 22:6 says," Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."  After much prayer and discussion with Tressa, I believe the Lord is calling me off the road with the Wanda Mountain Boys.  It was not an easy decision, as I have a passion to sing.  I had to take myself out of the picture and solely focus on where God wanted me to be.  Philippians 4:6-7 says, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."  The Lord has given me this peace, and that is to be with my wife and child.

I'm very grateful for the opportunities I've been given the past year and a half with the Wanda Mountain Boys.  I've had the privilege to meet some incredible people.  I've also had the opportunity to sing with two great guys.  Gary and Rick have become like family.  I will miss them, but I'm looking forward to what lies ahead. I will continue to sing with the Wanda Mountain Boys through the end of 2016. The group is currently auditioning singers and will be making an announcement soon.

Through this time of transition, I ask that you not only pray for Tressa and I and our new child, but also pray for Rick, Gary, and the group as they seek the Lord's direction.  We know God has a plan and purpose for this season of life.  We want each and every one of you to know we love and appreciate you so very much.

In Christ,

Clint Everetts
