The Mid America Gospel Music Association wish to congratulate our 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award recipients, Mark S. Mathes and Mike and Melanie Rueter.
Mark Mathes is a Missouri native and has been involved in Gospel Music most of his life. He is known for his energetic stage presence, powerful voice and great original music. He is considered one of the Southern Gospel Music industries top songwriters. His song, "Sometimes It Takes a Mountain", is the current single and title cut of the Gaither Vocal Bands latest CD release.
Mike and Melanie Rueter are celebrating the 40th Anniversary of their family group, The Chosen Ones. The Rueters thousands of miles each year with their family, performing over 170 times annually. They also host the annual Manchester Gospel Music Festival each year in Manchester, IL, one of the midwest's most popular outdoor concerts.
