MAGMA Remembers Lloyd Durbin

The Mid America Gospel Music Association would like to express our deepest sympathies to the family of Rev. Lloyd Durbin.  He is the patriarch of the Durbin Family who were charter performing members of the association.

The Durbins traveled extensively across the United States singing their smooth Southern Gospel harmonies. Rev. Durbin also has a rich history as a pastor in the Freewill Baptist denomination. Lloyd Durbin was known for his dry wit and booming bass voice.  He was often compared to the great George Younce, especially when he performed his signature song, "The Inward Man".  Lloyd Durbin is also the uncle of another of our MAGMA performing artists, the Berry Brothers.

Funeral arrangements for Rev. Lloyd Durbin are:

My deepest sympathies to the entire Durbin family. Lloyd was a wonderful man. Although it has been years since I seen him our group (Cornerstone 33AD) had some good times with the Durbin family. Rejoice for Lloyd has made it home!
