Mid America Gospel Music Festival a Success

The Mid America Gospel Music Association recently hosted a two night event in conjunction with New Life of Hope Ministries and several sponsors from the West Plains community. The event was held at the state of the art West Plains Civic Center and featured 6 of MAGMA’s member artists, the Redemptions, Final Authority, Crimson Gold, Wanda Mountain Boys, New Horizons and One Voice.

This is the third year for the event and it has shown great growth from year one. Friday night’s concert drew nearly 80% capacity with Saturday nights concert near 90%.

Plans are being made for the 2015 Festival which will feature a few familiar faces as well as several MAGMA artists who will be making their first appearance at the festival.

Special thanks go out to our team in West Plains who head up the effort, Beverly Broyles and Ron Budd. These two are an invaluable asset to our efforts to expand the MAGMA brand. Thanks also to Dan Duncan, manager of the local Christian television station in West Plains for his help and for doing a live 35 minute interview with the Wanda Mountain Boys and MAGMA president, Gary O’Neal to help promote the event.

Several local churches hosted all of the performers over the weekend in their Sunday services. The West Plains Community has embraced the association in a great way and we look forward to even bigger things in the area in the future.
