Sunday, September 18th, marks the first annual Holy Smoke Gospelfest in Waverly, IL. This new music festival is being hosted by long time Gospel Music performer Glen Gobel and his congregation at New Hope Southern Baptist Church in Waverly.The concert is to be held at the Town Square which is directly across from the church and will feature Mid America Gospel Music Association artists, the Redemptions and the Wanda Mountain Boys. Christian Country artist, Joe Arview will be performing as well. Also appearing will be a Wanda Mountain Boys reunion, featuring Glen Gobel, Gary O'Neal and origiinal WMB member, Claude Johnson.
Concessions will be served with proceeds going to the New Hope Southern Baptist Church building fund. The concert will be moved inside in case of poor weather.
